Hadia Shaikh is a Pakistani-American curator, writer, and museum professional based in Denver, CO. Hadia specializes in curating thematic exhibitions and programs that foster meaningful dialogue and inspire change. With a focus on amplifying the voices of contemporary artists, Hadia is dedicated to utilizing art as a tool for societal transformation—aiming to create a safer and more sustainable world and communities through creativity and innovation.
Relocating to the United States from Hyderabad, Pakistan, at a young age, Hadia brings a transnational perspective to her curatorial practice. She is a first-generation graduate, earning her BA in Art History from Herron School of Art and Design at Indiana University - Indianapolis and her MA in Museum Studies from Indiana University School of Liberal Arts.
With over a decade of experience, Hadia has contributed to institutions such as the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art, The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and The Block Museum of Art, Northwestern University. Currently, she is as the Curatorial Assistant for Modern and Contemporary Art at the Denver Art Museum, while also curating independently.
In her free time, Hadia enjoys reading, listening to history podcasts, visiting art museums, thrifting vintage, running, and spending time with her loved ones.
